Built on the northern slopes of the Castle mountain in the mid-19th C, it replaced the former Calvary in Calle Calvario Viejo. From the Chapel of Santísimo Cristo at the top of the route one commands a beautiful view of the orange orchards and market gardens of the Sagunto landscape below.
